Life Story for David E. Vorce

David E.  Vorce
David E. Vorce, 76, of Bronson, passed away on Friday, November 29, 2013 in Sturgis, Michigan.
A funeral will be held on Thursday, December 5, 2013 at 12:00 Noon. at Dutcher-Kolcz Funeral Home in Bronson with Pastor Terry Siler officiating. Interment will follow at Adams Cemetery in Bronson. Visitation will also be held on Thursday at the funeral home prior to the service, beginning at 10:00 A.M.
David was born on August 30, 1937 in Bronson, Michigan to David E. and Goldie (Mosser) Vorce, Sr. He attended Bronson High School, class of 1955 and married Bertha M. Modert on November 22, 1957 in LaGrange, IN. He had worked in excavating most of his life; working for Modert Excavating for several years and Doyle Gose Excavating in Stroh, IN for 27 years. Early on in his life he had worked at the bowling alley and delivered papers. David also served honorably in National Guard for several years.
David was a resident of Bronson his entire life. He enjoyed sprint car racing and hunting. He loved spending time with all of his grandchildren.
Mr. Vorce is survived by his wife of 56 years, Bertha, his children; David E. (Marcia) Vorce III of Bronson, Connie (Mario) Hernandez of Bronson, Teri (Patrick) Martin of Coldwater, Karen (Bob) Williams of Sturgis, Dan (Becky) Vorce of Coldwater and Nina Vorce of Girard, his sisters; Clara Mae (Joe) Antoszkiewicz of Bronson and Janice Modert of FL and his grandchildren and great-grandchildren; Bobby, David, Daniel, Sofia, Mario Jr., Justin, Vicki, Shawna, Brandon, Sherry, Chance, Michael, Bray, Amarie, Payton, Lexi, Emma and Connor.
David was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Donald Vorce in April 2013, his sister Sandy Jewett, his grandson William Sexton in 1999 and his brother-in-law Ronald Modert.
