Leroy R. Young, 86, of Coldwater, passed away on Wednesday, September 17, 2014 at the Community Health Center of Branch County.
No services will be held at this time, arrangements are being cared for by Dutcher Funeral Home in Coldwater.
Leroy was born June 25, 1928 in Cleveland, Ohio. He was a veteran of WWII serving with the US Navy and also was a Merchant Marine. He married Dori Dunn, she has preceded him in death.
Leroy was a firefighter with the Cleveland Fire Department for 25 years. He enjoyed weekends at Coldwater Lake since the 1950’s, making it his permanent home after his retirement. Mr. Young was a member of the VFW and the American Legion. He enjoyed water activities and life living on the lake, especially scuba diving, boating, fishing and playing golf.
Leroy is survived by his son Jefry Young of Cleveland, OH, his daughter Staci Seidel of Strongsville, OH, his grandchildren Turner, Tabitha and Zoe and his very close friends Jim, Jenni & Jamison Maxon , Dustin & Dillon Burritt all of Coldwater. www.dutcherfh.com.
