Norman O. "Norm"  Arey
Norman “Norm” Oliver Arey, 75 of Quincy passed away on November 6, 2014 at his daughter’s home in Coldwater.

The family will receive friends on Monday, November 10, 2014 from 4-7:00 PM at Dutcher Funeral Home in Coldwater. Cremation has taken place and interment will be at a later date in Mason Cemetery.

Norman was born September 4, 1939 to LD and Maybelle (Market) Arey in Homer. He graduated from Coldwater High School in 1958. On June 6, 1959 he married Janet Burlew in Coldwater.

Throughout his life, Norm always put his family first. He was known as a good neighbor and willing to help anyone. He enjoyed hunting and living on the lake. An avid collector and picker, Norm had a “hardware store in his garage”. He was a true gear-head with a passion for working on classic cars or anything with a motor that could go fast.

Norman is survived by his children Tanis (Rodney) Carpenter, Tim (Shelby) Arey all of Quincy, Tonia (Ken) Taylor of Coldwater; his twin sister Norma (Paul) Osman of Marietta, GA; his grandchildren Dustin, Nicole, Rachel, Brandon, Kelsey, Amanda, Courtney, Tai, Jessica, Luke, Andrew, Austin and 12 great grandchildren; his dog “Daisy” and several very close friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 54 years Janet Arey; and his sister Barb Riester.
