Catherine L. Jansen, 67, of Coldwater, passed away on Saturday, May 2, 2015 at University of Michigan Medical Center in Ann Arbor, MI.

The Funeral will be Saturday, May 9, 2015 at 1:00 PM at Dutcher Funeral Home in Coldwater with Pastor Dave Anderson officiating. Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Girard where she will be laid to rest with her son.
Visitation will be held Thursday, May 7, 2015 from 6:00 - 8:00 PM and Friday, May 8, 2015 from 1:00- 5:00 PM at Dutcher Funeral Home.

Catherine was born October 7, 1947 in St. Charles IL to Lawrence & Norma (Amy) Carey II. She married Richard P. Jansen on December 18, 1971 in St. Charles, IL.

Catherine worked at the Branch Co. District Library for many years and later as a Paralegal for Renner’s Law Office, until ill health forced her to retire.

Catherine was a member of the Red Hat Society and Garden Club in Coldwater. She was very involved with her children in 4H and their sporting events throughout the years. She enjoyed reading, gardening, and cooking. Catherine enjoyed being with her family, especially her grandchildren, and spending time on Gulliver Lake with her family.

Catherine is survived by her husband Richard, her children Jennifer Stolberg of Marquette, Jonathan Jansen, Erin (Jereme) Jansen-Miller all of Coldwater, her brother Lawrence Carey III of Marquette, her grandchildren Lila Stolberg, Lilliann Miller & Lane Miller. Catherine was preceded in death by both parents and her son Eric Jansen.
