Obituary for Rolland "Rollie" Vallance

Rolland "Rollie"  Vallance
Rolland “Rollie” P. Vallance, age 47, passed away Sunday, May 3, 2015 at Sturgis Hospital Emergency Room surrounded by his loving family and friends.
A funeral service will take place at 11:00 AM on Thursday, May 7, 2015 at Dutcher-Kolcz Funeral Home in Bronson with Pastor Matt Jones from Covenant Church of Colon officiating. Interment will follow at Snow Prairie Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday, May 6, 2015 from 2:00 – 4:00 and 6:00 – 8:00 PM at Dtucher-Kolcz Funeral Home.
Rolland was born October 8, 1967 in Coldwater to Rolland and Vera (Brower) Vallance. He spent most of his life in the Bronson, Burr Oak, and Colon area. On April 13, 1996 Rolland married Terri L. Gest at the United Methodist Church in Sturgis.
Rollie had worked for Kendall Electric, Century Bank & Trust, and for the past 15 years at Walmart in Sturgis until his health made him retire. He graduated from Bronson High School with the Class of 1986. Rollie attended Covenant Church in Colon and had been a former member of the Bronson Masonic Lodge.
Rolland enjoyed helping family and friends, watching his daughters participate in sports and cheerleading. He truly enjoyed his girls & wife and the time spent together. He collected corvettes and liked playing Santa Claus during the holidays.
Mr. Vallance is survived by his wife Terri of Burr Oak; his daughters Abigail and Ashley of Burr Oak; his father Rolland L. Vallance of Coldwater; his brother Kenneth (Mary Ann) Vallance of Bronson; his sister Kathy (John) Summey of Bronson; his mother-in-law Teresa A. Gest of Burr Oak; and his other brothers Dan and Dave Rinehart of Bronson; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother Vera; his brother Lyle; his stepmother Sandy; his stepfather Robert and his grandparents.
Any memorial contributions will be directed toward funeral and or medical expenses. Any additional funds will be directed toward the children’s college fund. www.dutcherfh.com
