Judie Jacobs, 69 of Coldwater passed away on Monday, August 24, 2015 at her home while surrounded by family.

A funeral service will take place at 11:00 AM on Friday, August 28, 2015 at Dutcher-Kolcz Funeral Home in Bronson with Rev. Kathy Guise and Rev. Kim Cole from Church of the Holy Spirit officiating. Interment will follow at Matteson Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday, August 27, 2015 from 2 – 4 and 6 – 8:00 PM at the funeral home in Bronson.

Judie was born May 2, 1946 to Gene and Alice (Wilber) Rinehart in Bronson. She lived in the area her entire life. Judie was a hardworking woman who spent time as a waitress, nurse’s aide, and sold real estate. She owned and operated Jay’s Country Kitchen in 2001 – 02. She married Joseph Jacobs on January 25, 1978.

Judie was a member of the Bronson American Legion Auxiliary, FAFSOM, and Fire Based Freedom. She was very supportive of our troops in many capacities. Judie always put her family first and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. She will be missed by many.

Mrs. Jacobs is survived by her husband Joe Jacobs of Coldwater; her children James (Jeri) Stauffer of Thompson, GA, Patrick (Cheryl) Stauffer of Coldwater, and Patricia “Sis” Stauffer of Santa Rosa, FL; her extended family of children; 24 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and her son Robert Stauffer.
