Obituary for Charles E. Kinter

Charles E.  Kinter
Charles Ernie Kinter, 90, of Bronson passed away on Monday, June 6, 2016 at Maple Lawn in Coldwater.

In following Charles’ wishes, the family will hold a private memorial service at a later date followed by interment at Bronson Cemetery. The family was cared for by Dutcher Funeral Home in Bronson.

Charles was born June 14, 1925 to Nelson and Ethel (Mellinger) Kinter in Matteson Township. He graduated from Bronson High School in 1943 and the quote underneath his yearbook picture said "Even geniuses make mistakes." Charles served in the U.S. Army during World War II in the Philippines as an MP and also as a cook. He married Beverly "June " Kinter on May 1, 1948 in Bronson. She preceded him in death on December 30, 2006.

Charles loved to fish, hunt, and play cards. He also loved to cook. Charles was always working or being active, especially outdoors. He enjoyed going up to his cottage on Shupac Lake in the summers and wintering in Florida. He absolutely loved his family. Charles will be remembered as a caring, unselfish, and helpful man.

Mr Kinter is survived by his son Michael (Penny) Kinter of Marshall and their two children Kristin (Paul) Holbrook & Ken (Kirstin) Kinter; his son Douglas (Gaylynn) Kinter of Flushing and their two sons Brandon (Katie) Kinter & Kory (Lauren) Kinter; His great grandchildren Matthew, Lydia, Violet, Maxwell, Jackson and his namesake Charles, born just weeks ago.
