Elnore D. Loose, 87, of Coldwater, passed away on Wednesday, September 14, 2016 at Grand Vista.
The funeral service will be Friday, September 16, 2016 at 1:00 PM at Dutcher Funeral Home in Coldwater with Pastor David Anderson officiating. Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Girard. Visitation will be Friday, prior to the service, beginning at 11:00 AM at Dutcher Funeral Home.
Elnore was born November 6, 1928 in Girard Twp., MI to Elmore & Rolene (Buys) Whitney. She graduated from Coldwater High School and married Wilford “Red” Loose on October 10, 1948 in Girard.
Mrs. Loose worked most of her life in the cafeteria for Coldwater Community Schools, retiring in 1989. She was a member of the First Baptist Church, DAR, Past Guardian of Jobs Daughters Bethel #57 - Quincy and a life member of The Order of the Eastern Star. She was a former member of Kiwanis. Elnore was a dedicated wife, mother and homemaker, who enjoyed reading and spending time with her grandchildren.
Elnore is survived by her husband Red, her daughters Eileen (Ed) Flavin of Swartz Creek, Janet (John) Carpenter of Coldwater, her siblings Eugene (Jolayne) Taylor of Quincy, James (Virginia) Taylor, Howard (Lola) Taylor all of Coldwater, her grandchildren April (Marc) Swartout of Grand Blanc, Corey (Melissa) Carpenter of South Lyon, great grandchildren Avery, Reese, Lucy, Brady and Logan.
