Lorraine J. Puglia, 97, passed away on Friday, November 25th, 2016 at the Community Health Center in Coldwater, MI. She had spent the last two years being cared for at The Laurels of Coldwater. In following with Lorraine's wishes, cremation has taken place. The family will hold a private memorial service at a later date.

Lorraine was born May 26th, 1919 in Detroit to Clarence and Barbara (Glaza) Gowing. She married Peter Puglia on March 1st, 1937. He preceded her in death in 1994. Lorraine and Pete resided at Matteson Lake in Bronson for many years and enjoyed winters in Frostproof Florida. Lorraine was a very talented seamstress and made many beautiful crocheted items for family and friends.

She is survived by her daughter, Marcia (Mike) Poling and their two daughters, Paige (Tom) Megenhardt of Carmel Indiana and Lesley Poling (Fleming Boone) of Burbank California. Other grandchildren, Julie (Joe) DeGraff of Parkville Maryland, Christine Gonzalez of Lansing and Anthony Puglia of Athens. Also surviving are five great grandchildren, Adrienne, Joey, Anthony, John and Peter and 2 great great grandchildren, William and Kate. She was preceded in death by her son, Milan (Norma) Puglia in 2015, sister, Dorothy Ulrich and brother, J. B. Gowing.
