Condolences

Condolence From: Sue Lytle
Condolence: How do I describe Carole? She was a second mom, a big sister, a co-worker, a confidant, and a wonderful friend. I know my life is so much better having known her. I also know that when the McCafferty’s moved across the street from the Lytle’s the width of Fremont street shrunk to one step. Carole was always there when I needed her. She was so giving, even letting me use her little Corvair. She taught me the ropes at the Credit Bureau, learning tact and discipline. She was there when life didn’t seem quite fair, giving me encouragement and strength. I loved her smile, her laugh and her love for life. There are so many times that she was there for me. I know that the world is a better place because of Carole McCafferty. I know that she will be missed by her family and everyone that knew her.

Condolence From: Tim Alverson (aka favorite 1st cousin)😁
Condolence: Loving, Happy, Smiles, Laughter and full of fun is what I think of when I think of Carole. What an incredible woman God brought to touch and impact so many lives. 1940 - 2017. You've probably heard this before but it's not about when she was born or how long she lived, it's about the dash (-). That dash represents how she lived her life and from what I know of her she lived it to the fullest. I mourn for Dennis and the family but I am also rejoicing that she is at peace and with Jesus. I'm sure the Alverson's are all celebrating and singing the ever sentimental and inspirational "Old SlimyToothbrush!" May God give Dennis and family peace. Love you all! Tim

Condolence From: Sheila Alverson
Condolence: I was fortunate to have Carole as a first cousin. Although she was older than me, she took the time to teach me how to swim at Stoney Lake. I remember mom and her spending hours on that lake fishing. She will be dearly missed. I'm sure the Alverson clan was waiting for her with open arms!!!

Condolence From: Carol Linteau and Bob Lathrop
Condolence: Oh so many wonderful memories of Carole. Our family and the McCafferty's had such strong ties. We shared time at each other's homes as we kids were growing up. I babysat for the McCafferty kids, and marveled at their exuberance. Carole was renowned in my family for her camping times at Pokagon, and Salter's Path, on the Outer Banks, where the long car ride to get there resulted in her flinging her duds and running in her skivvies to jump in the ocean. I once surprised her and my mother when they were on Beaver Island..... a little wine, and unwrapping the new silverware, which they were tossing across the room to see if they could land it on a kitchen chair. Ahem. They were soooo joyous, crazy and loving together. I know the love she shared with me, and with so many, buoyed her heart as much as mine. XOC

Condolence From: Jodetta (Aker) Orman
Condolence: As a youngster, I remember Carole helping us pick out shoes @ Carroll's Shoe Store. As an adult, I was honored to get reacquainted with her and saw how much she enjoyed being around people and laughing! She was not shy about telling you how wonderful her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren are! (As they are!) I will miss her smile, friendly hello, breaking bread at the bowling alley in Bronson and will definitely miss her at our Casino Christmas Morning adventures! What a beautiful woman - God has gained a beautiful angel! Rest in Peace Carole xo
