Obituary for Rose Marie Shelton

Rose Marie  Shelton
Rose Marie Shelton, 84, of Coldwater, met face to face on Saturday, March 4, 2017 with her Savior Jesus Christ, joining her mother Alma Grace, her father William Albert; her sisters Marjorie Pohlman and Doloris Brugman; her son-in-law Robin Lee Aughenbaugh.

A funeral service will take place at 11:00 AM on Thursday, March 9, 2017 at Dutcher Funeral Home in Coldwater with Don Gillette of First Baptist Church officiating. In following Rose’s wishes, cremation will follow the service and burial will occur at Oak Grove on a later date. Visitation will be prior to the service beginning at 10:00 AM.

Rose was born to Alma Grace (Coats) and William Albert Roady on October 15, 1932 in Alton, IL. She was an active, beautiful, talented, and dynamic lady. She traveled worldwide, residing in Egypt for three years. Rose was an elegant speaker, relating her travels with life experience, photographs, and humor. On August 5, 1952, she married her childhood sweetheart, Douglas Shelton in Alton, IL. Together they raised a blessed daughter, Sabrina Marie.

Mrs. Shelton is survived by her husband of 64 years, Douglas Shelton of Coldwater; her daughter Sabrina Marie Aughenbaugh of Coldwater; her brother William A. (Gerry) Roady of Sand Point, ID; her grandchildren Jeremy Alan (Stephanie) Aughenbaugh and Brenton Lee (Rebecca) Aughenbaugh all of Coldwater; her great granddaughters Eleanor Rose, Madelyn Grace, Gwendlyn June Aughenbaugh; and her soon to be great grandson Maxwell Stark Aughenbaugh; several nieces & nephews.
