Shirley E. Geer, 91, of Coldwater, passed away Tuesday, March 28, 2017 at the Community Health Center of Branch County.
A memorial service will be held Sunday, April 9, 2017 at 1:00 PM at Snow Prairie Bible Church with Pastor Frank Queen officiating.
Shirley was born April 17, 1925 in Whitehall, New York to Eber & Edith (Martin) Kinner. She married George C. Geer on March 19, 1944 in Ilion, NY, he preceded her in death in January of 1996.
Mrs. Geer was the Assistant Post Master for the Burlington Post Office in the late 1960’s. She was a member of Snow Prairie Bible Church and had also attended the Burlington Church of God. Shirley enjoyed working crossword and jigsaw puzzles.
Shirley is survived by her children George (Vicki) Geer of Colon, Harold (Carol) Geer of Cortez, CO, Leslie Lemon of Coldwater, her brother-in-law Vernon Geer and family of Tekonsha, many grand, great grand and great, great grandchildren and special friend Violet Gustafson. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by 2 grandsons and several brothers and sisters.
