Obituary for Marshall Rubley

Marshall Rubley
Marshall Homer Rubley, 87 of Bronson passed away Monday, June 05, 2017 at his home while surrounded by family.
A funeral service will take place at 11:00 am on Friday, June 9, 2017 at Dutcher Funeral Home in Bronson with Pastor Terry Siler of First Congregational Church of Bronson officiating. Interment will follow at Bronson Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday, June 8, 2017 at Dutcher Funeral Home in Bronson from 2-4:00 & 6-8:00 PM.
Marshall was born April 2, 1930 to Jay and Edith (Strong) Rubley in Bronson. He graduated from Bronson High School and then started a long working career. Marshall worked with several different companies including Quality Market, Putman Manufacturing, and Hooker Oil where he retired after many years in 1995. On June 14, 1952 he married the love of his life, Janean Honeywell in Bronson. She preceded him in death on July 23, 2012.
Marshall was an avid fisherman. He also enjoyed string bean harvesting, planting tomatoes and peppers for local farmers and also loved working in the garden. He adored spending time with his family, friends and grandchildren. Together with Janean, they fostered many children through the years. Marshall was well known for being a jokester and his ability to talk with anyone. He will be missed by many.
Mr. Rubley is survived by his sons Clyde Rubley of Bronson and Monty (Janice) Rubley of East Leroy; his sister Joyce Wygant of Sturgis; another sister Phyllis Smoker of Bronson; his sister-in-law Marilyn Rubley of Burr Oak; his grandchildren Joseph (Holli) Rubley, Jason Rubley, Johnathon Rubley, Jeremy Rubley and Brittany, Scotty Rubley, Shawn Rubley, and Valerie Rubley; his great grandchildren Cody, Daniel and Kaitlyn, Chase, Wyatt and Hayden, Brooklyn,and Zakrey, and several nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Janean; his son Todd Rubley; his brother Richard Rubley; his sister Ruby Kehoe; his infant brother Worthy Rubley; and his infant sister Dorothy Rubley.
