Obituary for Keith L. Welch

Keith Welch, 84, of Coldwater, passed away Monday, July 17, 2017 at his home, surrounded by his loving family.
The funeral service will be Monday, July 24, 2017 at 2:00 PM at Dutcher Funeral Home in Coldwater with Pastor Jeff Teeples from Peace Lutheran Church in Fremont. Interment will follow at Mason Cemetery. Military Honors will be provided by the Coldwater American Legion Post 52. Visitation will be held on Monday, prior to the service, beginning at 12 Noon at Dutcher Funeral Home.
Keith was born March 20, 1933 in Coldwater, MI to Forrest and Rubie (Norten) Welch. He graduated from Coldwater High School in 1951 and served in the US Army, Heavy Weapons Infantry, during the Korean Conflict.
Mr. Welch was a Quality Control Inspector from 1951-1981 at Eaton Corporation in Marshall. He was a life member of the Coldwater American Legion, Post 52, a ten year member of the Branch County Sheriff Reserve and part of the Branch County Sheriff Posse. Keith was an avid collector of antique cars and street rods and instrumental in establishing “Coldwater Crusin” car club, which he enjoyed immensely.
Keith is survived by his children Nicki (Jim) Kumfer of Colorado Springs, CO, Deniese (Steve) Shively, Brian (Alice) Welch all of Fremont, IN, his sister Noretta Corless, 12 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wives Grace Fisher, Linda Somers, grandson Chad Shively and companion Joyce McElvain.
