Obituary for Kermit A. Linscott

Kermit A.  Linscott
Kermit A. Linscott, 83, of Coldwater, passed away Tuesday, August 15, 2017 at Drews Place of Coldwater.
The funeral service will take place on Friday August 18, 2017 at 11:00 AM at Dutcher Funeral Home in Coldwater with Pastor Frank Queen of Snow Prairie Bible Church officiating. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Homer. Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 17, 2017 from 5:30 - 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
Kermit was born July 24, 1934 in Drakes, Ohio to Kermit and Clarissa (Wilder) Linscott. He married Janet Sprague on May 23, 1953 in Homer. She preceded him in death on October 16, 1997.
Mr. Linscott worked at Union Steel Products in Albion for many years, retiring in 1996. Kermit was a member of Teamsters, Local 164, in Jackson, serving for many years as President, Union Steward and on the executive board. He was also a former member of the Coldwater Eagles. Kermit enjoyed socializing with friends and spending time with his family. He liked to watch old western movies and sing country and western Karaoke.
Kermit is survived by his son Kermit Barry (Aleta) Linscott of Battle Creek, his daughter Kelly (Jose Medina) Malakoff of Coldwater, his half siblings Margaret (Billy) Caldwell of Lockbourne, Ohio, Faye McGloan of Zanesville, Ohio, his special friend Pat Smith of Coldwater, his 9 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. In addition to his first wife Janet, he was preceded in death by his second wife Doris, his daughter Janet Cooper, his son Eric Todd Linscott and half siblings Donna Best, Bobby Davis, and Barbara.
