Joan K. Bell, 91, of Coldwater, passed away Saturday, December 9, 2017 at Community Health Center of Branch Co.
Funeral Mass will be held Thursday, December 14, 2017 at 11:00 AM at St Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Coldwater with Fr. Paul Redmond officiating. Interment will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday, December 13, 2017 from 6 to 8 PM with a Rosary at 7:30 PM at the Dutcher Funeral Home in Coldwater.
Joan was born April 29, 1926 in Coldwater, MI to Floyd A. and Mae (Harmon) Bailey. She married Kenneth L. Bell in April 19, 1958. He preceded her in death December 17, 2014.
Joan sold Avon products for 30 years retiring in 1993.She was a life time member of St Charles Borromeo Catholic Church. She was involved with Christian Service Community, helped start the food pantry, worked in RCIA and Parrish council. She would help with Holy Communion at Maple Lawn Medical Care Facility. She also started a rosary group at St. Charles.
Joan is survived by her daughter Lynn Matlenga of Auburn Hills. MI. , her granddaughter Michelle Lindow of Lake Orion MI, her grandson Paul Matlenga of Ada, MI, greatgrandchildren Garrett Lindow, Payge Lindow, her sister Margaret Cornish of Coldwater, several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. She was preceded in death by her, parents, and sisters Florence Parisian, and Bertha Bailey.
