Shirley L. Holt, 82, of Bronson, passed away Sunday, December 17, 2017 at Borgess Medical Center in Kalamazoo.
A memorial service will be held at a later date in accordance to Shirley’s wishes. Interment of ashes will be at Matteson Cemetery. Arrangements are being cared for by Dutcher Funeral Home.
Shirley was born December 11, 1935 in Sault Ste. Marie, MI to Alvin & Louise (McMorran) Beamish. She married Aubrey J. Holt on October 2, 1954 in Sault Ste. Marie and together they have celebrated 63 years of marriage.
Mrs. Holt specialized in bookkeeping, owning and operating Bronson Business Services for over 15 years. She was an active member of the Bronson United Methodist Church and enjoyed over 50 years of bowling on leagues and traveling to state and national tournaments. Shirley loved family trips back to Sault Ste. Marie, playing cards and “lake life” with family and friends.
Shirley is survived by her husband Aubrey, her children Louise Holt of Bronson, James & Kathi Holt, Terry & Susan Holt all of Coldwater, her granddaughters Shawnelle Gutierrez of Corpus Christi, TX, Jennifer Cline of Bronson and six great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her brother George Beamish and granddaughter Jeri Linn Holt.
