The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Dr. Howard "Budd" Loehr can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

I love my Uncle Budd . He was a huge influence on me. Period. He made me laugh and sometimes he just ticked me off. Lol. He was a patient teacher ....especially when he knew I was afraid or lacked confidence. The poor man must have watched me or attempted to help me dive...at least 1000 times. Growing up he was my dentist and it always was a real treat to go to his office. Let's just say there was more playing around than work on my mouth. I knew how to use every tool at his office. He should have hired me. I told him he just needed a red wig and round red nose because he really missed his calling. Uncle Budd loved life, he loved adventure and this is something that made a profound impact on a shy, timid kid. I learned to love flying, sledding on a tobaggon, going 45 down a gravel road behind his big ole Mercury station wagon....and laughing. I believe in large part, because of him that I learned to not take everything in life so seriously and to take risks. I was always excited to see my big ole Uncle, feisty Aunt, and crazy cousins. Perfect, he was not...but all of his wonderful qualities, including his love of his family and friends made up for the imperfections. I recently lost my brother and sister in law tragicallly. He assured me that it would be ok . His hug and reassurance was one of my most special memories. I know I held a special place in his heart that nothing else or anyone else could take that place. He always made me feel special. He knew he had a special place in my heart as well. I was and am proud to be his niece.
