Margaret D. Cornish, 87, of Coldwater, passed away on Friday, January 12, 2018 at the Community Health Center of Branch County.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM, Thursday, January 18, 2018 at Dutcher Funeral Home in Coldwater with Fr. Paul Redmond officiating. Interment will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery in Coldwater. Visitation will take place on Wednesday, January 17, 2018 from 4:00 – 6:00 PM at Dutcher Funeral Home in Coldwater.
Margaret was born March 18, 1930 to Floyd and Mae (Harmon) Bailey in Coldwater. She was a graduate of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic School in 1948. Margaret married Robert Cornish on July 30, 1958 in Coldwater.
Along with her husband Robert, Margaret co-owned Bob’s Quality TV for 21 years, retiring in 1984. She was a lifelong member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church and a former member of the Coldwater Country Club. Margaret enjoyed collecting music boxes and coins. She was an avid reader and also enjoyed gardening, puzzles, playing cards and going to garage sales.
Margaret is survived by her children; Laura (Russell Olmsted) Cornish of Ann Arbor, Roberta (Alan) Balkany of Ann Arbor, Jacquelyn (Bob) Hatmaker of N. Adams and James (Vicki) George of Florida, her grandchildren; Elizabeth, Carolyn and Sarah Olmsted, Sam and Charity Hatmaker and Colt and Sasha George. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Robert, her daughter Janet George and her sisters Bertha Sheehy-Bailey, Florence Siebert and Joan Bell.
Memorial contributions may be directed to St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church.
