Cecelia I.  Kruszka
Cecelia Irene Kruszka, 93, of Coldwater passed away on Wednesday, March 30, 2016 at Maple Lawn Medical Care Facility in Coldwater.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM, Friday, April 8, 2016 at St. Mary of Assumption Church in Bronson with Rev. Fr. Richard Fritz officiating. Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Girard. Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 7, 2016 from 4 – 8:00 PM at Dutcher Kolcz Funeral Home in Bronson with a Rosary being recited at 7:00 PM on Thursday at the funeral home.
Cecelia was born December 11, 1922 to Albert C. and Rose B. (Michalski) Kowalski in Butler Township. She was married to James D. Morgan on August 19, 1944, he preceded her in death on January 18, 1964. She then married Edward P. Kruszka on January 9, 1965, he preceded her in death on September 16, 2003.
Cecelia had worked at Federal Mogul in Coldwater and then at Carriage Inn in Coldwater. She was a member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church and their Ladies Guild, she had also attended St. Mary of Assumption Church. Cecelia enjoyed her family, her dogs, flower gardening and bird watching, especially cardinals as she collected cardinal memorabilia. Cecelia won awards for her flowers and she would grow them in her house during the winter months. She loved crocheting and she personally made individual afghan’s for every niece, nephew, great niece and great nephew.
Cecelia is survived by her nieces and nephews; Linda (Charles) Green of Bronson, Sue (Pete) Wielgos of Bronson, Debbie (John) Wielgos of Bronson, Janice (Monty) Rubley of East Leroy and Janet (Larry) Sikorski of Bronson; her 12 great nieces and nephews; her 1 great great niece and 1 great great nephew; her brother in law Jake Stefanski of Bronson and her sister in law Sophia Kruszka of Coldwater. She was preceded in death by her two husbands, 1 stillborn son and her sisters Bernadine Kowalski and Mildred Stefanski.
Memorial donations may be directed to Humane Society of Branch County or St. Mary of Assumption Church.
