Obituary for Leverne K. Bazaire

Leverne Kenneth Bazaire, 72, of Coldwater passed away Tuesday, November 01, 2016 at Maple Lawn Medical Care Facility, surrounded by his family.

In following Leverne’s wishes, cremation has taken place. The family will have a memorial service at a later date. The family was cared for by Dutcher Funeral Home.

Leverne was born October 7, 1944 to Kenneth and Ruth (Milton) Bazaire in Flint. After graduation from high school, he proudly served his county in the U.S. Army. Leverne was a hardworking man and spent the majority of his working career at the Coldwater State Home, retiring in the late 1980’s after 25 plus years in the janitorial department.

Leverne married Nancy Longrey on August 24, 1991 in Quincy. He was a man of faith and they both attended Word of Life Outreach Center in Quincy. Leverne enjoyed shooting sports and attending guns shows. He was a very caring and compassionate man. Leverne will be remembered as a loving husband, bother, and uncle.

Mr. Bazaire is survived by his wife of 25 years, Nancy Bazaire of Coldwater; his brother-in-law Jack (Gert) Longrey of Coldwater; his nieces Jennifer (Dennis) Longrey of Coldwater and Penny Moody of Quincy; his nephews Allen Cook of Quincy, Jayden Impton and Grayson Meadows both of Coldwater. He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother-in-law Richard Moody; his in-law’s Elizabeth (Arnold) Longrey.
