Russell Lewis  Bond
Russell Lewis Bond, 87, of Naples, Florida, Quincy, Michigan and formerly of Hillsdale, Michigan passed away on Saturday, November 5, 2016 at the Community Health Center of Branch County.

A private memorial service has already been held. The family is being cared for by Dutcher Funeral Home in Coldwater.

Russell was born July 1, 1929 to Wilbur L. and Mildred B. (Kimberly) Bond in Samaria, Michigan. He married Mary Elizabeth Dudley on October 14, 1950 in Hillsdale, Michigan and then entered the United States Army on December 15, 1950. Russell was discharged on December14, 1952 having attained the rank of Corporal.
He was the owner of Wolverine Gear & Parts Company in Osseo from 1966 until 1984.

Russell was a former member of the Hillsdale Elks Lodge and also the Reading American Legion Post. He enjoyed snowmobiling, north woods activities, golfing, fishing, boating and traveling in their motor home.

Russell is survived by his wife of 65 years, Mary; his children, Steven (Vicki) Bond of Coldwater, Michigan Patricia (Edward) Evans of Naples, Florida and Douglas (Penny) Bond of Traverse City, Michigan; his grandchildren, Shane (Gloria) Bond, Sarah King, Nicole (Dwain) Daniels, Brian (Missy) DesJardin, Trevor Evans, Tori (Michael) Hamblen, Eric Bond and Michael (April) Bond; his 6 great grandchildren and his siblings; Beverly (Alfred) Dennis of Toledo, Ohio, Ann (David) Gregory of Toledo, Ohio and Judith (Robert) Caldwell of Ft. Wayne, Indiana. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Thomas Bond and a sister Gloria Henry.
