Jean Cox Canfield

Jean Elizabeth Cox Canfield, 93, of Carmel, IN, formerly of Coldwater, passed away Sunday, January 1, 2017 in Carmel, Indiana.

The funeral will be Wednesday, January 4, 2017 at 1:00 PM at Dutcher Funeral Home in Coldwater with Pastor David Pierce from the First Baptist Church officiating. Interment will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends, prior to the service, beginning at 12 Noon at Dutcher Funeral Home.

Jean was born May 7, 1923 in Flint, Michigan to Robert and Abbigail (Chambers) Bennett. She married Loren Cox, he preceded her in death on February 16, 1993. She then married Richard “Dick” Canfield, he preceded her in death May 30, 2015.

Mrs. Cox was employed for over 25 years by the City of Coldwater in the Department of Parks, Forestry and Recreation. In her spare time she loved to travel.

Jean is survived by her only daughter and son-in-law Lorraine (Dr. Yousuf Mahomed) Cox - Mahomed of Carmel, IN, and her grandchildren Julie and Adam. She is also survived by her only sister Donna Stocker of Arizona.
