Dad
I love hearing stories about Dad and remembering. My most vivid memories are of him driving us somewhere, and him singing Big Rock Candy Mountain. Our family sang a lot on trips and I probably remember more times Mom singing in harmony with my sister Mary, but Dad's voice singing is a happy memory for me. He went with me to buy my first car, made sure I knew how to change a tire myself (the first and last time I have ever changed a tire), and I remember fishing with him.
In recent times, I was able to spend quite a bit of time with him as we waited at the Dr's office, where he would tell me stories of when he was growing up, and him as a young adult, and I am glad I had that time to spend with him. He is at peace now and I am glad he had so many people who loved him.
